Creative Roots & Curiosities
I’m Nichelle, a designer fueled by creativity, curiosity, and the belief that good design can make people feel more connected and understood.
I earned my B.A. in Business from Florida Atlantic University, which gave me a strong foundation in strategy, communication, and problem-solving. That experience sparked my self-starter mindset and later inspired me to pursue my passion for art in a more focused way. I went on to earn a B.A. in Graphic Design from Southern New Hampshire University, where I developed my skills in branding, UX/UI, print, and digital design.
During my time in school, I launched a freelance design business, creating logos, social media content, and custom prints for individuals and small businesses. My business background helps me approach design with a thoughtful, goal-oriented mindset, blending creativity with strategy to build work that not only looks good but solves real problems.
Before design, I worked for four years as a personal tutor for elementary and middle school students. That experience taught me how to empathize with others, understand different perspectives, and think outside the box—qualities that continue to shape my creative approach today. I also gained hands-on experience in a print shop and served as a graphic designer for the tutoring company where I once taught.
To me, design is about more than visuals. It's about clarity, connection, and creating something that feels useful, thoughtful, and human. I’m excited to keep growing as a designer, to collaborate with others, and to bring creative ideas to life that make a difference.
